Conferences and workshops that have met the requirements for IAPR sponsorship or endorsement set forth by the IAPR Conferences and Meetings Committee .

The major event in the IAPR calendar is the biennial International Conference on Pattern Recognition, which attracts scientists, researchers, and practitioners in the field from all over the world; here they are able to listen, to learn, to educate, and to exchange ideas with their colleagues.

The Conferences and Meetings Committee of IAPR evaluates applications for Sponsorship or Endorsement of meetings that demonstrate a strong likelihood to have an international scope and make significant contributions to topics central to the study of pattern recognition and its applications.

ExCo Initiative on Technical Committee Activities In order to encourage the development and offering of summer and winter schools, the IAPR ExCo will commit support and resources to this effort. The ExCo believes that these schools provide a unique opportunity to connect students and junior researchers with senior scientists in a fruitful way, consistent with the mission of IAPR.
