Paper Submission Instruction

ICDAR 2019 will follow a double blind review process. Authors should not include their names and affiliations anywhere in the manuscript. Authors should also ensure that their identity is not revealed indirectly by citing their previous work in the third person, and omitting including acknowledgements until the camera‐ready version.

Camera-Ready Website

All camera ready submissions and IEEE copyright form will be handled electronically via the CPS Website [Link].

Paper Format and Length

Papers should be formatted with the style files/details available in the IEEE paper formatting template.

Papers accepted for the conference will be allocated 6 pages in the proceedings, with the option of purchasing up to 2 extra pages for AUD 100 per page. This will have to be paid after paper acceptance and at the time of registration. The length of the submitted manuscript should match that intended for final publication. Therefore, if you are unwilling or unable to pay the extra charge you should limit yourself to 6 pages. Otherwise the page limit is 8 pages.

No-show

All no-show papers will not be available on IEEE Xplore. No-show papers that were not withdrawn and were published in the Technical Program must be identified as “No-Show” in the conference web-site.

Registration

At least one author of an accepted paper MUST register the paper at full-rate (i.e., a student registration does not cover any papers) no later than June 15, 2019. Papers without registration will be withdrawn.

ICDAR 2019 Paper submission is now closed via EasyChair

Dual Submissions

By submitting a manuscript to ICDAR 2019, authors acknowledge that it has not been previously published or accepted for publication in substantially similar form in any peer-reviewed venue including journals, conferences or workshops. Furthermore, no paper substantially similar in content has been or will be submitted to a journal, another conference or workshop during the review period (March-2019 - June-2019). Note that such a definition does not consider a Technical Report or an item in self-archive repositories (departmental, arXiv.org, etc.) that is put up without any form of direct peer-review as a publication.

IAPR Ethical Requirements for Authors

By submitting a manuscript to ICDAR2019, authors agree to adhere the IAPR Statement of Ethics. The IAPR requires that all authors wishing to present a paper declare that:

  • The paper is substantially original and that no paper substantially similar in content has been submitted or will be submitted to any other conference or journal during the ICDAR2019 review period.
  • The paper does not contain any plagiarism, and
  • The paper will be presented by the author or a co-author in person.

The IAPR retains the right to eliminate any papers in violation of these requirements and to exclude the authors of such papers from future IAPR community activities.

The full IAPR Statement of Ethics can be found here.

Rebuttal Instructions

The author rebuttal is optional and it is meant to provide authors with an opportunity to rebut factual errors in the reviews or to supply additional information requested by the reviewers. It is NOT intended to add new contributions (theorems, algorithms, experiments) or respond to the reviewers' comments, but to point out any factual errors in the reviews.
