Please note that there are two cities named Niagara Falls - one in the USA, and one in Canada. The conference is in Niagara Falls, USA (the 'American Side').
ICFHR 2018 will be held at the Niagara Falls Conference & Event Center just a few minutes walk from the falls on the American side, and Niagara Falls State Park (USA), with a foot bridge allowing access to the Canadian side (passport and visa restrictions apply). Many famous sites and attractions such as the Maid of the Mist may be found nearby. The conference site is located in a small town, with the Niagara Falls Hotel and Casino just down the street. Other hotels are within close walking distance of the conference site. By air, it is easiest to reach Niagara Falls through the Buffalo Niagara International Airport. It is about a half hour drive from the airport to the conference site and nearby hotels. One can take a cab, or a shuttle. Taxis and shuttles may be booked online here.
For those traveling through Toronto (make sure to review the passport and visa restrictions below), it is possible to take a shuttle from Pearson International Airport about every 60-90 minutes, using the Niagara Airbus. On the Niagara Airbus web form, make sure to indicate 'Buffalo Area' as your destination. If asked, the specific hotel you probably want to be taken to is the 'Sheraton at the Falls,' which is across the street from the Conference Center in Downtown Niagara Falls, USA. Other shuttle services are available as well. - Hotels -
!! Important Note !! Insure that if book your own hotel, that the hotel is located in Niagara Falls, NY (USA) and not in Canada. A US visa does not permit you to cross the US-Canada border, and you may be unable to use your reservation if you reserve a Canadian hotel. Some US visas will also not permit visitors to leave and then re-enter the United States. We ask that you plan your accomodations and recreational activities carefully, keeping your visa status in mind. Additional information can be found below.
A variety of hotels are within a short walking distance to the conference site. We currently have blocks of rooms reserved (30 apiece) at the Double Tree Inn and the Holiday Inn. Rooms at the Holiday Inn are reserved for student participants.

!! Passports and Visas !! Please note that there are different vosa requirements for visitors from different nations. To check your visa requirements, please use the "Visa Wizard" available from this web site. There are a number of countries from which people may visit without a visa, but please carefully check whether this applies in your case.
For many visitors, visiting the Canadian side of Niagara Falls requires a Passport and Visa. Make sure that you have the appropriate documentation for citizens of your country if you choose to visit the Canadian side - and remember that you will need a visa that permits you to re-enter the USA in order to return to the conference site.
